Dirs. Joaquin Cociña, Cristóbal León. 2020, 73 mins. DCP. Spanish and German with English subtitles. With Amalia Kassai, Rainer Krause. An abandoned house provides refuge for a young woman being hunted by a wolfish evil, but she soon discovers she is still unsafe from the trauma in her mind, which begins shaping her surroundings in nightmarish fashion. This surreal animated film is as haunting as it is exquisitely crafted, its sinister fairytale world telling a tale of the Colonia Dignidad, one of the darkest chapters in Chile’s history.
