The Wedding Banquet

This creates emotional and practical concerns for his boyfriend, Simon (Lichtenstein), and increasingly manic complications when Wai-Tung’s parents arrive from Taiwan. Lee’s Oscar-nominated film stands as one of the most delightful and humane comic dramas of the nineties, and features authentic on-location filming in New York, including Long Island City and Queens’s Socrates Sculpture Park.
