Middle Class Money, Honey
Dir. Manfred Kirchheimer. U.S. 2019, 85 mins. Digital projection. Through a series of interviews, Kirchheimer investigates the underappreciated and often misunderstood impact our relationship to money has on our sense of identity and our life trajectories. In his direct yet affectionate interview style, Kirchheimer gives his subjects the comfort they need to open up on a private, complex, and even embarrassing topic for some. The results are a series of revealing, relatable anecdotes that help us to reflect on our own relationships to the almighty dollar.
Grownups
Dir. Manfred Kirchheimer. 2024, 62 mins. U.S. Digital projection. In legendary documentary filmmaker Kirchheimer’s newest film, a cross-section of men and women reflect on life’s milestones, such as finding one’s vocation, the loss of a loved one, childhood joys and traumas, and other events which would ultimately prove to be defining moments in their lives.
