Location: Redstone Theater

Preceded by a reading by Palestinian American poet Hala Alyan; followed by a conversation between Tiffany Malakooti and researcher, writer, and curator Adam HajYahia

Dir. Michel Khleifi, 1981, 99 mins. DCP. In Arabic with English Subtitles. Prismatic Ground kicks off its fourth edition with the Belgian Film Archive restoration of Fertile Memory, a visceral, poetic glimpse of everyday life in the occupied West Bank. Khleifi focuses on two Palestinian women of different generations, capturing the details of their lives in a way that reveals the tension between their determination to exist with dignity and the damnable everyday encroachments of settler-colonialism.

All ticket-holders will receive free entry/suggested donation to the Opening Night Party co-hosted by DJs Against Apartheid at h0l0 in Ridgewood.

Co-Presented by Bidoun
