Dir. Michel Khleifi, 1981, 99 mins. DCP. In Arabic with English Subtitles. Prismatic Ground kicks off its fourth edition with the Belgian Film Archive restoration of Fertile Memory, a visceral, poetic glimpse of everyday life in the occupied West Bank. Khleifi focuses on two Palestinian women of different generations, capturing the details of their lives in a way that reveals the tension between their determination to exist with dignity and the damnable everyday encroachments of settler-colonialism.

Co-Presented by Bidoun
