Duck Soup

Ongoing

Location: Redstone Theater

Dir. Leo McCarey. 1933, 68 min. 35mm. Featuring all The Marx Brothers (Groucho, Harpo, Chico and Zeppo). Set in the mythical countries of Fredonia and Sylvania, Rufus T. Firefly (Groucho Marx) becomes Fredonia’s President at the request of the smitten and wealthy Gloria Teasdale (Margaret Dumont). When the leader of Sylvania wants to marry Gloria and sends inept spies to Fredonia it looks like the countries are headed to war. Filled with the slapstick humor and mayhem The Marx Brothers are best known for, Duck Soup is a classic film you will want to experience on the big screen. Recommended for ages 7 and up
