Dir. Panos Koutras. 2022. 132 mins. Greece. DCP. In Greek with English subtitles. With Smaragda Karydi, Akis Sakellariou, Natasa Exintaveloni, Mariella Savides, Marisha Triantafyllidou, Nikos Gelia. A dodo, a bird extinct for the last 300 years, shows up at the villa of a financially troubled family on the eve of the daughter’s advantageous wedding to a wealthy heir. Last-minute preparations are disrupted, and matters soon get out of control. Nevertheless, amidst the chaos, the appearance of the dodo becomes an occasion for family secrets and lost illusions to be revealed, and for rueful reflections on the human condition to be made.
