Derek Howard: The Harvesters

Derek Howard’s richly sensory film, The Harvesters (Kenya, Canada. 2019, 6 mins.), renders each stage of a honey harvest by three Maasai men with hypnotic concentration. This shared viewing moment will be followed by a live video conversation via Zoom.

In addition to directing, Howard has worked as a cinematographer for acclaimed filmmakers, including Brett Story (The Hottest August), Penny Lane (Hail Satan?), and Victor Kossakovsky (Aquarela). See more of his work here.
