Part of Science on Screen
With nurse Erin Guerriero, consultant on the Prime Video adaptation of Dead Ringers, in person on 7/30
Dir. David Cronenberg. 1988, 116 mins. DCP. With Jeremy Irons, Genevieve Bujold. Irons gives one of the most complex and moving double performances in cinema history, playing twin gynecologists who develop a truly twisted relationship with a patient. While the brothers’ bizarre surgical instruments convey a memorable dose of body horror, the true horrors of Dead Ringers are psychological in Cronenberg’s brooding and outrageous exploration of a true story. Following the screening, NICU and postpartum nurse Erin Guerriero, who consulted on the new Prime Video limited series Dead Ringers starring Rachel Weisz, will participate in a discussion.
Tickets: $15 / $11 senior and students / $9 youth (ages 3–17) / free for MoMI members at the Senior/Student level and above. Order tickets. Please pick up tickets at the Museum’s admissions desk upon arrival. All seating is general admission. Review safety protocols before your visit.
