The Color Wheel with Alex Ross Perry in person

Dir. Alex Ross Perry. 2011, 83 mins. With Perry, Carlen Altman. Perry’s highly original second feature, beautifully filmed in black-and-white 16mm, follows the calamity and chaos when JR forces her disappointing younger brother Colin on a short road trip to move out of her professor-turned-lover’s apartment. The film, which has been developing a following on the festival circuit, was recently called “The future of cinema, I hope,” by Ignatiy Vishnevetsky for At the Movies.
