The Honorees

An Oscar-, Golden Globe- and Emmy-nominated actress and choreographer, Rosie Perez has been a cultural mainstay since her breakout performances in such classic films as Spike Lee’s Do the Right Thing, Ron Shelton’s White Men Can’t Jump, and Peter Weir’s Fearless. Most recently, Perez stars opposite Bryan Cranston in the second season of Your Honor on Showtime and in HBO Max’s critically acclaimed series The Flight Attendant, opposite Kaley Cuoco. Perez is a proud Puerto Rican, born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. Throughout her career, Perez has been a vocal activist for a number of causes. In 2010, President Barack Obama appointed her to The Presidential Advisory Council on HIV/AIDS (PACHA). Rosie is the author of Handbook for an Unpredictable Life: How I Survived Sister Renata and My Crazy Mother, and Still Came Out Smiling (with Great Hair).  

Ynon Kreiz is Chairman and CEO of Mattel, a leading global toy and family entertainment company and owner of one of the most iconic brand portfolios in the world. Prior to joining Mattel, Ynon was Chairman and CEO of Maker Studios, a global leader in short-form video content. Prior to Maker Studios, Ynon was Chairman and CEO of the Endemol Group, the world's largest independent television production company. Before Endemol, Ynon was a General Partner at Balderton Capital (formerly Benchmark Capital Europe), one of the leading early-stage startup investors in Europe. Prior to Balderton, Ynon co-founded Fox Kids Europe NV where he served as Chairman and CEO. He serves on the Board of Directors of Warner Music Group, the Board of Trustees of the UCLA Anderson School of Management and is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Executive Branch. Ynon was named one of TIME’s 100 Most Influential People in the World in 2024. 

Josh Sapan has been one of the true driving forces behind the growth of some of television’s most successful networks and the high-quality, critically acclaimed shows that ushered in the era of “prestige television.” In his 25 years as CEO, AMC Networks became known for such programming as Mad Men, Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, The Walking Dead, Portlandia, The Night Manager, and Top of the Lake, as well as for setting up IFC Films. After departing AMC in early 2023, Sapan launched Sapan Studio, and in partnership with IFC Films he worked on two of the year’s most acclaimed titles, The Taste of Things, which won Best Director at Cannes, and the documentary The Disappearance of Shere Hite. In partnership with Museum of the Moving Image, Sapan founded the Marvels of Media Awards and Festival, celebrating autistic media-makers, now in its third year.
