Ben Wheatley: Confusion and Carnage

Saturday, Oct 29, 2016

Toronto-based film critic Adam Nayman, who was last here with his monograph It Doesn’t Suck: Showgirls, returns to present two films in conjunction with his new book, Ben Wheatley: Confusion and Carnage, whose films combine grindhouse violence, avant-garde techniques, and a wicked sense of humor. With the first book-length study of its subject’s work, Nayman brilliantly makes the case for Wheatley as a major figure in contemporary British cinema.
