On June 5, 2022, cinematographers Michael Goi (American Horror Story) and Eric Lin (The Sound of Silence), discussed how the trailblazing James Wong Howe’s legacy influenced their careers in a virtual discussion moderated by MoMI’s Assistant Curator of Film Edo Choi. The discussion took place as part of the Museum’s 19-film tribute to Wong Howe, one of the few Chinese Americans working in the American film industry in a career that ranged from the silent era through the golden age of the studio system and into the mid 1960s.
