Yani Spanos: Behind the Marquee

This tune-filled documentary traces the life of Yani Spanos from the Greek village of Kioto to Paris to Athens, capturing the legacy of the prolific composer who died suddenly in 2019 at age 85. Low profile and adverse to self-promotion, Spanos felt that his music speaks for him. Many of his memorable songs are performed here by a veritable who’s who of Greek popular music. 

Tickets: $15 / $11 senior and students / $9 youth (ages 3–17) / discounted for MoMI members ($7–$11). There is a $1.50 transaction fee per ticket for all online purchases. The cost of admission may be applied toward a same-day purchase of a membership.
