Dir. Pete Docter. 2001, 92 mins. DCP. With John Goodman, Billy Crystal, Steve Buscemi, James Coburn, Jennifer Tilly, Mary Gibbs, Helen Hunt, Frank Oz. Big and furry Sulley (Goodman) and his wisecracking sidekick Mike Wazowski (Crystal) are the top scare team at MONSTERS, INC., the scream-processing factory in Monstropolis. But when a little girl named Boo (Gibbs) wanders into their world, it’s the monsters who are scared. Can Sulley and Mike overcome their fears to get Boo back home? In a film rife with homages to his work with Jim Henson and the Muppets, Frank Oz voices Fungus, a fumbling three-eyed monster who’s a hapless assistant in a workman’s helmet.
