Getting There: Building a More Inclusive Region
Tuesday, Oct 22, 2024 at 6:00 pm
Location: Redstone Theater
To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the New York Community Trust and to celebrate you—the incredible communities the organization has partnered with over the past 100 years—we’re thrilled to host a panel discussion in Queens about supporting people with disabilities and older New Yorkers.
MoMI’s galleries will be open outside our usual hours for our guests to explore! Starting at 5:00 p.m., get to know the man behind some of your favorite Sesame Street characters, check out the work of pioneering net-artist and sculptor Auriea Harvey, and more. At 6:00 p.m., we’ll gather in the Redstone Theater for a conversation with nonprofit and government leaders to explore how we can make our region more accessible. A festive reception in MoMI’s lobby and outdoor courtyard will follow, with light bites, drinks, and the opportunity to share your vision for our region’s next century.
This venue is wheelchair-accessible and ASL interpretation will be provided. To request an accommodation or for inquiries about accessibility, please contact Liz Uddyback.
