Dir. Ken Kwapis. 1985, 88 mins. DCP. With Caroll Spinney, Jim Henson, Frank Oz. Big Bird (performed by Spinney) made his big-screen debut 40 years ago in Sesame Street Presents: Follow that Bird. Featuring a cast of Sesame Street regulars as well as a star-studded array of cameo guests including Chevy Chase, John Candy, and Waylon Jennings, the movie follows Big Bird’s journey back to Sesame Street after a well-intentioned social worker places him within a family of birds, far away from his friends.
Tickets: $17.50 / $12 senior and students / $10 youth (ages 3–17) / free for MoMI members at the Senior/Student level and above. There is a $1.50 transaction fee per ticket for all online purchases. The cost of admission may be applied toward a same-day purchase of a membership.
