Spring Break Media Mash
April 14–18, 2025
Monday–Thursday, 10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m., Friday 10:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.
This Spring Break, join the next generation of media makers for the Spring Break Media Mash! Registration is now open for this week-long camp at Museum of the Moving Image, during which participants will take a new approach to technology, using animation, VR, video games, AI, and filmmaking to become true transmedia storytellers.
Campers will gain foundational knowledge of artificial intelligence tools as they create story ideas. Each day, campers will learn a specific technology from media educators to bring their stories and characters to life as they draw animations, design a virtual reality experience, program an interactive digital video game, and film and edit their own shorts.
On Friday, the finished work will be screened and displayed in an interactive showcase open to parents and families. The showcase will feature a camper-curated exhibition of work created throughout the week, and a special screening of the campers’ short films, with a sneak peek behind the scenes of each day. The showcase will conclude with an award presentation of a certificate of completion and the digital MoMI Badge for Transmedia Storytelling to each camper.
Space is limited, so sign up today!
