Hannibal Lecter Stunt Head

Visual Description:
An orange-colored, semi-transparent resin mold of the actor Anthony Hopkins’s face, made for the film The Silence of the Lambs. The face has its eyes and mouth open, creating a shocked expression. There are wrinkles on the forehead and crow’s feet on the edges of the mask’s eyes. Small cracks on the material create a rough texture.
Guided Tactile Description:
At the top of the mask, feeling along the forehead, notice the wrinkles that form across the top of the brow. Moving down from the forehead, notice the prominent brows with deep wrinkles between them. Below the brows are deeply set, open eyes. Within each eye, you can feel indents that distinguish the white of the eye, the iris, and the pupil. Beneath the eyes, notice the eye bags, which extend outward into the crow’s feet near the outer corners. Just below the left eye, you may feel a small dent in the resin, where the material has been cracked off. The tip of the nose also has some slight cracking at its tip. Below the nose, trace the shape of the full lips, slightly parted, and feel the individual ridges of the bottom teeth.
